These devices where used briefly in Apple stores to display various Apple Watch models.
This specific unit has not been reset, and has all of the original demo software intact. It behaves exactly as intended with the Apple Watch running the original demo version of WatchOS, as well still being paired to the iPad.
The device receives power through a MagSafe 2 port on it's underside. Alternatively a lightning cable can be used to charge the iPad on its own. Both devices batteries are functional.
